Talissa's current novel is a historical fantasy that explores the pre-colonized island of Puerto Rico, then known as Boríken, where a young Taino woman gets transformed into a vampire by the God of Death after the murder of her parents and the abduction of her sister. She now has to hunt for her sister while navigating the throes of her cursed immortal life.
