My name is Talissa S. Colon and I am a writer of fantasy - and the occasional romance- novels. I am on the journey of getting published. My current novel is a historical fantasy novel which explores colonialism and the erasure of Native Puerto Rican culture through the lens of a young Taino woman who is thrown into the chasm of immortality when she is transformed into a vampire by the God of Death.
About
Talissa S. Colon was born and raised in Connecticut into a spirited Puerto Rican family who quickly and fervently emboldened her obsession for reading and later, her passion for writing. She is a fantasy writer whose penchant for story-telling began in middle school and led her to begin crafting novels of fantastical worlds. She studied English and Creative Writing at the University of Wilmington, North Carolina as well as the University of Connecticut. When she isn’t writing, you can find her reading, practicing archery, or spending copious amounts of time with her cat, Daisy.
